The 2017 racing season concluded at Fort Payne Motor Speedway on Saturday night and a New Kid emerged on the Block/Track, as 18-year-old Jadon Frame of Winchester, Tn., made his debut in the nights Super Late Model division.

Frame, driving his # 3 “Russell Barnett KIA, AFCO Shocks, Poultry Electric, Powers Machine” sponsored Vic Hill Racing Engines powered Capital Racecars machine, set a new track record in qualifying, breaking the mark recently set by David Brannon during the annual “FireCracker 50”  event, back in late July.

Frame went on to hold off the other kids (JT and Sam Seawright) for the $1,200 victory, his second of his young three-year career, as well as FPMS hotshoe Kasey Hall as well as former record holder Brannon. The recent graduate of Franklin County High School said assistance from Capital (race cars) from the likes of former Dirt Track World Champion Marshall Green and folks like Jerry Link are key to his early success.

Frame’s first victory came at Moulton Raceway Park earlier this season. The teams has their eyes set on Duck River Raceway Park’s mega “Deep Fried 75” event as well as Mississippi’s “Cotton Pickin’ 100” later this season. The Mechatronics Engineering major can be followed online through his Facebook page.

Six Things We Can Do About Mass Shootings - And Response (2)

All politics aside, the recent shooting in Florida, and every other shooting in a public place, is a senseless and, possibly, preventable tragedy. It is absurd that we can’t gather in a free society without the fear of some nut job or terrorist using us as targets.   And then the cries of “do something!” from every quarter. But, other than the obvious attempt by agenda-pushers ... (click for more)
