Baylor, Walker Valley Tie 1-1, CCS Wins 5-0 At Boyd-Buchanan

The Baylor girls soccer team tied Walker Valley 1-1 on Tuesday.  Baylor's Avery Davis scored off a Rachel Smith assist in the 6th minute.  

Walker Valley tied the game at 1 when Taylor Ellis scored off an assist from Caitlin Dickson.  

Baylor out shot Walker Valley 14-13.  Baylor's Peyton Randolph had 12 saves and Walker Valley's Annie Kate had 13 saves.  

"Give Coach Brown and Walker Valley all the credit,"  Baylor head coach Curtis Blair said after the game. "We got out played in every facet of the game. We struggled in possession, transition, and decision making. I have to do a better job of getting us ready to play. That falls on me. We needed a wake up call and this is a great opportunity for us to get back to the simple things. Caitlin Dickson (WV) did a great job of controlling the game for them. She is a fun player to watch."

Baylor is now 6-0-2 and Walker Valley is 4-1-1. 

CCS traveled to Boyd-Buchanan and earned a 5-0 shutout.

State Seeking 1st-Degree Murder Conviction Against Donaldson For Killing Son-In-Law

The state is seeking a first-degree murder conviction against 57-year-old Glen Allen Donaldson for killed his son-in-law. City Budget Uses $36 Million From Various Reserve Funds

Daisy Madison, the city's chief financial officer, said the upcoming city budget uses $36 million from various reserve funds, including $11 million from the city's rainy day fund. The budget last year pulled $10 million from the rainy day fund.
