Ooltewah Baptist Calls New Pastor

Ooltewah Baptist church announces the arrival of its new pastor Rev. Jeremy Colloms, to their congregation and community. He will be preaching during the Sunday morning worship services beginn"ing May 27.  He officially begins his duties as senior pastor on May 28. 

Rev. Colloms, his wife, Mary Margaret, and their children, Luke and Abby, will be relocating from Charleston, Tn. Rev. Colloms has served as minister in training at First Baptist Church, Woodstock, Ga., minister of Adult Education and Evangelism at St.

Andrews Baptist in Florida and senior pastor at both First Baptist in Chatsworth, Ga. and Mt Bethel Baptist in South Carolina.  
 
We believe God has call Jeremy to Ooltewah Baptist Church because his gifts, education and experience fit the needs or our congregation," officials said.  "Jeremy’s educational background is a bachelors degree from Bryan College, masters of arts degree from Lee University, masters degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and soon to be a graduate with a doctorate degree in pastoral leadership from Southeastern Seminary.  Please join us as we embark on a renewed spiritual journey with our new pastoral family on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m."


Trunk Or Treat Offered At Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church On Oct. 27

Cub Scout Pack 3037, Troop 137, and Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church at 6314 East Brainerd Road, will be hosting a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot at the church. Chattanooga Man At Scene Of Carjackings Gets 6-Year Federal Prison Sentence

A Chattanooga man who was at the scene of two carjackings has been sentenced to serve six years in federal prison. Nikolas Milton, 25, appeared before Judge Curtis Collier. A probation report recommended a four-level sentence enhancement, but prosecutor Chris Poole acknowledged there was no proof that Milton was the person who carried out the first carjacking. Police Arrest Man On Multiple Car Break-Ins At Signal View Apartments

Police said they arrested a man on multiple car break-ins at the Signal View Apartments on Mountain Creek Road. Maurice Flanigan is charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of theft of property. I attended the meeting to discuss the placement of the sewage treatment plant at the Cambridge Center in Ooltewah today. My problem with the meeting (aka) dog and pony show, is that the meeting started out with the agenda of the Ooltewah Community Council.  After living in this area for 45+ years I have never heard of this group.  I would like for someone to answer ...
