Chattanooga Lookouts bats won the battle with eight hits but lost for the second night scoring only a pair of runs in the 3-2 defeat in Jacksonville.

Zander Wiel had two extra base hits and an RBI as did Jaylin Davis.

It was a great night for starter Sean Poppen, that is until the seventh inning when the Jumbo Shrimp hit two jumbo home runs to take the lead for good. The Lookouts starter had faced the minimum number of batters until then allowing just two hits.

Two double plays kept the Shrimp off the bases earlier. Then a two run belt with one on by Isan Diaz was followed by a two out solo shot by Joe Dunand and the bullpen retired nine in a row for the second win in the series for Jacksonville.

Am I Alone?

Am I alone seems to be quite apt as I begin to form sentences, thoughts and concerns regarding the state of this country. I feel like I am alone trying, somehow, to justify Trump and understand why he is constantly in the middle of chaos.  Now coined as the Liar-in-Chief, Chief Foreign Affairs Coordinator acting for his pal Russian Dictator, Putin.  The silence ... Six Things We Can Do About Mass Shootings - And Response (3)

All politics aside, the recent shooting in Florida, and every other shooting in a public place, is a senseless and, possibly, preventable tragedy. It is absurd that we can’t gather in a free society without the fear of some nut job or terrorist using us as targets.   And then the cries of “do something!” from every quarter. But, other than the obvious attempt by agenda-pushers ... (click for more)
