Legacy Village Of Cleveland To Host Sept. 16 Grand Opening

Legacy Village of Cleveland, an assisted living and memory care community serving Bradley County and the surrounding areas, will mark its grand opening with a community open house on Sunday, Sept. 16, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., including personal tours and light refreshments.

Legacy Village of Cleveland, 2255 Candies Lane, on the site of the former Rolling Hills Golf Course, is scheduled to open for occupancy Oct. 1.

"We are so excited to open our doors to the Cleveland community as we begin serving seniors and their loved ones in Cleveland, Bradley County.
We welcome the public to come and see what sets us apart,” Shannon Alvey, executive director of Legacy Village of Cleveland, said.

Operated by Legacy Senior Living, a Cleveland-based company that manages senior living communities throughout the Southeast, Legacy Village of Cleveland is a joint venture with Providence Senior Living, Inc., a nonprofit sister organization created by Legacy Senior Living principals Barry Ray and Bryan Cook.

Providence Senior Living will be comprised of a board of directors that will support the business affairs of Legacy Village of Cleveland, assist in possible care grants for seniors in need and coordinate research opportunities in the field of aging.

“Legacy Village of Cleveland is a dream that Bryan and I have had for many years. We are excited to finally begin showcasing this long-awaited facility to serve the seniors of Cleveland and Bradley County,” Ray, president of Legacy Senior Living, said.

The 58,000-square-foot facility offers 39 spacious assisted living suites and 32 memory care apartments in a dedicated Alzheimer’s memory care wing known as The Harbor. The assisted living residents have the choice of large studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. The memory care residents may choose studio, companion and one-bedroom suites.

Juvenile Shot On East 14th Street On Friday

A juvenile was shot Friday evening on East 14th Street.
