Grace, Silverdale, East Ridge Post Girls Soccer Wins

Grace Academy's Abigail Smith and Savannah Engelbrecht scored two goals each in their 7-0 win over Howard on Thursday.   McKinley Tyson, Anna Rush and Priscilla Bautista also scored   McKinley Tyson had two assists.  Anna Rush, Smith and Engelbrecht had one assist each.  Grace keeper Belle Mahan had three saves.  

Silverdale Baptist earned a 4-0 win over St. Andrews   Grace Renegar had two goals for the Lady Seahawks.  Marissa Hamilton and Audrey Grace Canter each had one goal   Canter and Avery Levitt had one assist.

Carrie Patrick had three saves for Silverdale.  Silverdale improves to 5-4 overall and 1-4 in the district.  

Lucy Lopez and Rebeca Mendez scored two first half goals in East Ridge's 2-0 win over Hixson.  Lopez and Alejandra Argueta had assists.   Sarah Hudgens had 14 saves for East Ridge.  East Ridge improves to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the district.

Georgia Northwestern Lady Bobcats Sweep Crown College

After enduring a sweep on their own home floor this past  Saturday , the Georgia Northwestern Lady Bobcats righted the ship  on Tuesday  as they traveled to Powell, Tenn. and hung a 3-0 sweep on the Royal Crusaders of The Crown College to take both ends of the season series. Criminal Court Judge Don Poole has denied a new trial for a man convicted of a 2010 murder. Unjolee Moore, at a recent hearing, claimed that he made a confession after being beaten by a detective and held for over 13 hours while handcuffed behind his back.
