July 12-15
East Brainerd Community Theater will present the musical Guys and Dolls at Christ United Methodist Church. Show times are July 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and July 15 at 2:30 p.m. The church is located at 8645 East Brainerd Road. Doors will be open 30 minutes prior to show time. Tickets are available online beginning June 28 on Eventbrite, ebctchatt.com and christchurchchatt.org, or at the door. “Early Bird” tickets are $10 through July 11 and $15 starting July 12. All seats are general admission. 

July 13-21
The Colonnade Players with Director James Ogden and Musical Director Terry Sanford will bring The Hunchback of Notre Dame to The Colonnade stage. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a musical based on the 1831 novel by Victor Hugo and containing songs from the 1996 Walt Disney film adaptation, is presented by special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Show times are July 13, 14, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m., with matinees on July 14 at 1 p.m. and July 22 at 2:30 p.m. All seating is reserved and limited, therefore it is advised that tickets be purchased early. Ticket prices range from $13 to $17. A group rate of $12 is available for all groups of 15 or more. As this musical follows the original story more closely, some themes may not be appropriate for younger audiences.

July 13-22
In association with Samuel French Inc., Back Alley Productions invites you to enjoy an evening of laughter at Play On!, a comedy about the mishaps of theatre productions. Performances are July 13 through 22, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at the Mars Theater, 117 N. Chattanooga St. in LaFayette. Each show lasts approximately two hours and 15 minutes, with an intermission. Tickets are available at BAPshows.com or at the box office 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance. Audiences are advised that the show contains mild language.

Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga presents a new take on a classic story, HONK! A musical comedy at the Barking Legs Theatre. "Hello Dolly!" at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. Starring Beth McClary and Rob Inman. Other featured actors in the all-volunteer cast are Anne Barbieri (Irene Malloy), Jeremy Campbell (Cornelius Hackl), Tanner Dean (Ambrose Kemper), Joshua Harell (Barnaby Tucker), Ray Laliberte (Rudolph), Stefanie Oppenheimer (Ernestina Money), Genna Raborn (Ermengarde) and Kimberly Rye (Minnie Fay). A talented 20-person ensemble rounds out the cast. The Ringgold Playhouse will open its summer comedy, “Rumors,” for a two-weekend run beginning Thursday night. Khyree Thompson Denied New Trial For 2015 Motel Murder

Khyree Thompson, 23, appeared in Judge Don Poole’s courtroom Monday with a motion for a new trial.
